Rain

At Munlochy PWS we collect rain data from a number of sources at the weather station, including a traditional 5-inch copper rain gauge, a more modern polycarbonate rain gauge both set at 12 inches above ground level. We also have 4 different electronic tipping bucket devices and an electronic plate rain sensor.

The rain data shown in the blue box below may differ slightly from other data on this site as it derives from our new WMR300 Automatic Professional Weather Station which was installed on the 1st of July 2017. Rain data show before this date have been manually inputted from our manual records.
